### The story of Linxpy: Relevant, interesting, and remarkable

#### Presentation abstract

This presentation outlines the genesis of a new platform for the organization of personal link collections, tagging and serendipitous recommendations. Although Linxpy builds on old ideas of information organization, serendipity and the value of lists, it also counters digital slop, doom-scrolling and brain-rot. After having many conversations about information organization, curation and relevancy, building and testing multiple prototypes and always dealing with new technologies, a team of two started to build on their mutual vision a platform for real. Since 2025, a user community of Linxpy Alpha+ discovers what works and what not. Finally, a demonstration of its current incarnation of features and functions will be given.

#### Bio Peter Bogaards

As a professional digital designer, Peter J. Bogaards lived through several decades of information design, information architecture and user experience in the digital realm. Becoming widely known as a trustworthy sign post for relevant, interesting and remarkable content for design practitioners, he maintained his online curated portal ([informationdesign.org](http://informationdesign.org/)) on a daily basis for more than a quarter century. Upon retirement, Peter embarked on a new challenging adventure: the design and development of a curation and recommendation platform for knowledge workers, information professionals and other link hoarders.
