### The Content Designer's AI Toolkit: From User Story to Publish with Generative AI

#### Presentation abstract

For those of you who are sceptical about artificial intelligence: I am too. That said, when you are precise and focused in using AI, it is a magnificent tool in the content designers toolbox.

At a governement organisation, we developed a systematic approach to content revision using AI that prioritised clarity, accessibility, and practical usability. Through detailed protocols using AI-assisted workflows we achieved consistent quality while significantly reducing editorial turnaround times.

In this presentation, I will share the details of our workflow with you. I will give you insight into our experience as well as share the prompt we used, and recommend a book to help you set up your own agile AI-infused content design project.

#### Bio Charlotte van Oostrum

I'm Charlotte van Oostrum and I'm a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies and certified trainer. I’ve spent 15+ years working as an editor and content manager across government, cultural, and educational organizations.

Outside work, I also enjoy putting my best foot forward: in my vegetable garden, on the athletics track, backpacking through Lapland or Scotland, and by showing up as a partner, daughter, friend, and human being.

### Materialising morality to make meaningful design decisions

#### Presentation abstract

Meaningful design goes beyond making things easy to use; it’s about reflecting core values. How do we move from abstract ethical philosophies to concrete decisions that help us create worthwhile products? Using a case study from my work as well as other examples, this talk demonstrates how identify values and architect them so as to create meaningful products and processes.

#### Bio Lade Tawak

Lade Tawak is a problem solver, connector, and creator working across Research, UX/CX, Product, and AI Strategy & Implementation. Through her research, advisory and consulting, and training, coaching and facilitation, she has worked with businesses across the globe over the last 10 years, connecting them with insights and strategic expertise needed to achieve organisational goals, improve operations, and create delightful experiences. ### *I'm sorry*. On simulated feelings.

#### Presentation abstract

*I'm sorry*.

Two words. Instantly familiar. Strangely comforting. Now: what if the thing saying them doesn't mean it?

We've spent decades designing deterministic systems that inform, provide, and transact. Now, suddenly, the system listens. It mirrors. It apologizes. It sounds like it understands. But it doesn't, it just makes us feel that way.

How we design that feeling will matter more than anything we've built before.

Nobody handed us a rulebook for this, because there isn't one. The old rules don't apply anymore. This talk is my first attempt to figure it out, and embrace the change.

#### Bio Lutz

Lutz lives in Cologne, Germany. In the early 2000s, he graduated as designer and became an information architect by trade. Today, he’s an independent consultant for experience and service design, with a knack for privacy. He’s the author of the book “The Perception of Time and the Influence of Design”.

### The story of Linxpy: Relevant, interesting, and remarkable

#### Presentation abstract

This presentation outlines the genesis of a new platform for the organization of personal link collections, tagging and serendipitous recommendations. Although Linxpy builds on old ideas of information organization, serendipity and the value of lists, it also counters digital slop, doom-scrolling and brain-rot. After having many conversations about information organization, curation and relevancy, building and testing multiple prototypes and always dealing with new technologies, a team of two started to build on their mutual vision a platform for real. Since 2025, a user community of Linxpy Alpha+ discovers what works and what not. Finally, a demonstration of its current incarnation of features and functions will be given.

#### Bio Peter Bogaards

As a professional digital designer, Peter J. Bogaards lived through several decades of information design, information architecture and user experience in the digital realm. Becoming widely known as a trustworthy sign post for relevant, interesting and remarkable content for design practitioners, he maintained his online curated portal ([informationdesign.org](http://informationdesign.org/)) on a daily basis for more than a quarter century. Upon retirement, Peter embarked on a new challenging adventure: the design and development of a curation and recommendation platform for knowledge workers, information professionals and other link hoarders.

### **When Inclusive User Testing Lies: Avoiding False Insights**

#### Presentation abstract

Moderated user testing with people with disabilities can dramatically improve a product for everyone, unless your research setup biases your insights. “Bring your own device” testing and involving domain experts should be table stakes, but they’re only the beginning.

In this talk, I’ll share lessons on how we approach inclusive, real‑world user testing at Eleven Ways. How can you avoid drawing false conclusions that may lead you to optimise the wrong things? What should you do instead?

I’ll show how we apply this in our Inclusive Tech Hub in Ghent, where we use tools like eye tracking to make the invisible visible, and to design, test, and iterate with greater confidence.

#### Bio Roel van Gils

Roel is the founder of Eleven Ways, Belgium’s first dedicated Digital Accessibility Agency. With 20 years of experience in accessibility, he helps organisations build it into everyday design processes. In 2025, he founded the Inclusive Tech Hub in Ghent, a hands-on place for inclusive, real-world user testing where designers and people with disabilities can meet, learn, and improve products together.

### Welcome to the Latent Space Age

#### Presentation abstract

As AI companies crack open the black box of Large Language Models through interpretability research, we're entering the Latent Space Age. Now we're be able to understand and control the hidden features that make AI models work, leading to revolutionary new tools that let us design information through meaningful properties, similar to how music producers use mixing boards to fine-tune songs.

### Biography Peter

I'm a strategist based in Brussels, Belgium. I help organisations decide what the next best move is in their digital journey. For every challenge, I look through a business, customer and technology lens to get a complete picture.

My background in UX design ensures every strategy I craft puts people first, because the most successful products solve real problems for real users. I’m on a mission to turn the endless possibilities of AI and data into real value. Information is at the core of all of this. It is both the source of many challenges as well as the solution.

I've been working digital-first since the early 2000s, helping organizations turn complex information into systems that work for people.

My focus: how information becomes experience. How content is organized, connected, and governed in ways that serve both users and the teams managing it. I practice content-driven information architecture, helping organizations understand what they have, what they need, and how to design structures that actually support both.
